UK Home Minister Sajid Javid released a list of 100 influential women in the UK-India relationship on 24 June 2019 on the occasion of India Day. In this list, Nirmala Sitharaman has been included in the country's most powerful women, who have played a key role in the bilateral relations as Defense Minister and now the Finance Minister.

In the current government, Nirmala Sitharaman is also taking over the responsibility of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
