Air Marshal Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria PVSM AVSM VM ADC has taken charge as the Chief of the Air Force on May 01, 2019. He has replaced Air Marshal Anil Khosla.Air Marshal Bhadauriya is an alumnus of the National Defense Academy. He was inducted on 15 June 1980 in the Indian Air Force fighter squad.

Air Marshal Bhadauriya got the first position in the entire merit order, and due to this he was honored with the prestigious 'Sword' Off Honor 'was awarded.

He has more than 4250 hours of flying type of 26 types of fighter and transport planes.
He is also an experimental pilot pilot, category instructor Flying Instructor and a Pilot Attack Instructor.

He has completed postgraduate course in Defense Studies from Command and Staff College, Bangladesh.

He has been awarded Param Vishisht Seva Medal, High Vishisht Seva Medal and Air Force Medal.
