Sri Lanka has now lifted the ban imposed on social media to prevent rumors from spreading after the serial blasts that took place on Easter occasions.

Security arrangements are still tight. According to reports in the blasts, about 250 people were killed, out of which 42 were foreign nationals.

Immediately after the bombings, officials declared an emergency in the country and blocked social media services such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Viber and Snapchat messaging app.
