During the Second World War, Memorable celebration of Kangla Tongbi is celebrated every year on 7th April in honor of the fierce war in Kangla Tongbi in Manipur and on behalf of the soldiers, 6/7 by the Armed Forces personnel of the Advance ordinance depot (ADO) 7/7 Battle of Kangla Tongbi fought on the night of April 1944 is considered to be one of the fiercest battles of World War II.
In this fight, the Kangla Tongbi War Memorial near Imphal was celebrated as Platinum Jubilee on April 07, 2019 by Army Ordnance Corps, to honor the supreme sacrifice of the Ordnance personnel of the 221 Advanced Ordnance Depot.
Kangla Tongbi War Memorial, 221 (ADO), 19, is a testimony of his supreme sacrifice, along with a silent proof of the incredible reverence for the duty of the armaments personnel. This monument tells the world that the Ordnance personnel should be professional personnel. Apart from this, even during the war, there is no one behind them as a skilled soldier.
For this work of valor, Major Boyd was awarded the Military Cross (MC), Conductor Paccan to the Military Medal (MM) and the Hav / Clerk Store, Basant Singh, the Indian Special Service Medal (IEDSM).
