London court rejects bail of Nirav Modi

The London court rejected the bail plea of ​​diamond trader Neerv Modi, accused of PNB scam on April 26, 2019, and extended the next hearing of the remand term case till May 24.

Neerav Modi participated in this hearing through video conferencing. However, he will have to go to court on extradition hearing on May 30.

Earlier on March 29, 2019 Chief Magistrate Emma Arbitanot rejected her bail petition. According to the rules, there is a 28-day deadline for judicial custody in such cases.

Neerav Modi was arrested on charges of cheating more than Rs 13,000 crore with Punjab National Bank (PNB). India is now engaged in extradition.
