The Policy Commission has released the Health Index report. In this report Kerala has been in the top position in the ranking of the Commission for the second consecutive time. This report titled 'Healthy State Progressive India' is the policy commission prepared by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the World Bank.

These reports have been prepared on the basis of Index 23. To prepare this report, the year 2015-16 has been considered as the base year. In this report, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra are ranked second and third respectively. Gujarat, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh are in fourth, fifth and sixth places.

Bihar is the lowest in the policy commission report. In this list UP is 20th, Uttarakhand 19th and Odisha 18th. According to the report, Bihar is lagging behind in health matters.
