Assam NRC list released, names of about 1 lakh people included,

An additional list of the National Register of Nationals (NRC) in Assam has been published for all on 26th June, 2019. This list includes 1,02,462 people, who are now going to file claims to prove their citizenship.

The list will be the names included in the draft published on July 30, 2018, which were later found to be ineligible to be included in it. The list also included those who were found disqualified during the trial held for disposal of objections and objections. This list can be checked by visiting NRC Assam's official website www.nrcassam.nic.in.

However, those people who are excluded from this list will be notified personally through the letter (LOI) given to their residential address and their claim on the NRC Services Centers (NSK) designated on July 11. Will get the opportunity to enter.

According to the provisions contained in Section 5 of the Schedule of citizenship (Registration of citizens and issuing national identity card) Rules, 2003, an additional draft exclusion list containing 1,02,462 persons has been published.

  • It has been stated in the release that their claims will be settled before the final publication of Civil Register on July 31.
  • The redressal list will be published in the designated NRC Services Center in the office of the Deputy Commissioner / SDO (Civil / Circle Officer), where additional list for village / ward is available in a consolidated manner. It will also be available online too.
  • Individuals whose draft status will change in additional list of expulsion. They will be underlined as being 'excluded from the additional list'.
  • The draft published on July 30, 2018, already included in the NRC and will not be affected by the additional list will be displayed as before.
