The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) removed the doubts among the people about accepting coins of different sizes and designs. He said that whatever coins are of different zodiac sign in the currency, they are completely legal pose.
People should accept him without any hesitation. The central bank pays the coins being made by the central bank in the currency. RBI has also told the banks that they do not return the incoming customers from their branches. They accept small amount coins and notes from customers.
RBI said that coins remain in currency for long periods. Also different coins and coins of design and size are issued. At present, coins of different sizes, types of design, Rupees one rupee, 2 rupees, 5 rupees and 10 rupees are in circulation.
Regarding changing the notes and coins, banks have been advised in the Circular that no bank branch should refuse to take notes or coins of small amount.
