India calls on UN to hold a comprehensive conference on terrorism

India has called for a pending global conference on the issue of international terrorism. This conference has been demanding in the wake of the attack on the places of worship across the world.

India had presented a draft document on UN International Conference on Terrorism (CCIT) in the United Nations in 1986, but it could not be implemented because there was no opinion about the definition of terrorism among the member states.

This demand of India came a day after the declaration of Azhar as a global terrorist in the United Nations Security Council's 1267 Al-Qaeda Ban Committee.
