Sri Lankan team announced for World Cup

The Sri Lankan cricket team has been announced for the 2019 World Cup and it has been made to captain Dimut Karunaratne in the final ODI of the 2015 World Cup. There are 4 such players in the team, who have not played ODIs for Sri Lanka since 2017. Dinesh Chandimal, who was captain of the ODI team till October 2018, did not get the place.

The 15-member Sri Lanka team is: Dimuth Karunaratne (Captain), Aishwarya Fernando, Lahiru Thirimanne, Kusal Mendis, Kushal Perera, Angelo Mathews, Dhananjay D'Silva, Dasara Perera, Isuru Udana, Jeffrey Wandsey, Jeevan Mendis, Milinda Sirivarna, Lasith Malinga, Suranga Lakmal, Nuwan Pradeep
