Milk products increased |
The Indian Food Safety and Standards Authority (FSSAI) had recommended increasing the restriction imposed on import of milk products from China till the use of schools on the harbor was made modern.
The ban on imports of food products made from chocolate, chocolate products, candies, confectionary, milk and milk products from China will continue till the laboratories located on such ports of entry into the country of such materials to test chemicals such as melamine. The update is not made for it.
No timelines have been mentioned about how long these laboratories will be made modern so that they will be able to check such chemicals.
China's milk products were put on hold when there was a possibility of malamine chemicals in some of its milk content. Melamine is a dangerous toxic chemical. It is used in making plastics and fertilizers.
India does not import milk and milk products from China. Such imports have been banned as a security measure.
