WV Raman appointed as India women’s team coach


  1. Former India opener, W. V. Raman was appointed as the new coach of the Indian women’s cricket team.
  2. Raman was among three recommendations made by the ad-hoc committee of Kapil Dev, Anshuman Gaekwad, and Shantha Rangaswamy.
  3. He has represented India in 11 Tests and 27 One-Day Internationals.
  4. He is currently a batting consultant at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.
