Kerala tops in Niti Aayog’s Baseline index

  1. NITI Aayog released a Baseline Index of Indian states’ performance on various UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on 21 December 2018.
  2. Kerala got the first rank in the index.
  3. Tamil Nadu and Telangana got second and third rank respectively.
  4. The index tracked the performance of the states using 62 parameters associated with SDGs.
