1. Chamba's Superintendent of Police Monika Bhutunguru was conferred the 'Champion of Change' award by Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu.
2. 'Finding Beauty in Garbage' won the Best Short Documentary Film Award in the Asia Southeast International Short Film Festival in Cambodia.
3. Croatian football captain Luca Modric was chosen as the 'Balkan athlete of the year'.
4. The late composer Laxmikant Shantaram Kudalkar and playback singer Usha Timothy were awarded the 'Mohammad Rafi Award' for the year 2018.
5. Madhya Pradesh government gave the sitar maestro Manju Mehta the 'Tansen Respect' of 2018.
6. Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh was conferred the 'Champions of Change' award by Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu on December 26, 2018.
