Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has announced the annual financial assistance of 5 lakh rupees to 'Democracy Fighters' or his spouse.Under this, they will be provided treatment in private or government hospitals. On the identity card, the word "emergency victim" will be replaced by "democracy fighter".
"Democracy Fighter" are the people who were jailed under the Prevention of Prevention of Prevention during the Emergency of 1975-77.
