A renowned social activist and Jaiyang, Noakhali, the secretary of the Gandhi Ashram Trust in Bangladesh, Jharna Dharam Chaudhary passed away in Dhaka.He devoted his entire life to promote peace, communal harmony and social justice. For his work, he was honored with Padma Shri in 2013. He was awarded the Jamnalal Bajaj Award in 1998.
