In the fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections, 14 seats in Uttar Pradesh, 12 in Rajasthan, seven in West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh, 5 in Bihar and 4 for Jharkhand are being cast. Polling is going on for Ladakh seat in Jammu and Kashmir. Also, for Anantnag seat, voting is also being held in Pulwama and Shopian district.

• Polling for 14 seats in Uttar Pradesh includes Union ministers Rajnath Singh and Smriti Irani, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Congress president Rahul Gandhi.
• Rajyavardhan Rathore, Krishna Punia and Arjun Ram Meghwal are the main candidates in 12 Lok Sabha seats in Rajasthan.
• There is a quadrangular contest between Trinamool Congress, BJP, Congress and CPI on all 7 seats in West Bengal. Trinamool Congress won all seven seats in the 2014 elections.
• Out of five seats in Bihar, Hajipur is the seat of Lok Janshakti Party, while the Saran is considered as the stronghold of RJD. Four seats in Jharkhand are going to be held in Hazaribagh, Koderma, Ranchi and PEG. Union minister Jayant Sinha is again in the fray from Hazaribagh.
