An official said that the Ministry of Commerce and Industry has proposed to host measures such as tax incentives to promote emerging entrepreneurs as part of 'Startup India Vision 2024'.
The purpose of vision document is to establish 50,000 new start-ups in the country and create 20 lakh direct and indirect employment opportunities by 2024.
To promote industry and internal business (DPIIT) under the Ministry, who has prepared the document, has suggested setting up 500 new incubators and accelerators by 2024; 100 innovation areas in urban local bodies; Deployment of entire fund of 10,000 crore rupees; And extend incubators to CSR funding.
Other measures include establishing 'India Startup Fund' of 1,000 crore to support high technology start-up; Providing 1,000 crores.
