"Deepa Malik got Sir Edmund Hillary Fellowship"!
- Paralympic player Deepa Malik has been selected for the 'Sir Edmund Hillary Fellowship 2019' on behalf of New Zealand Prime Minister for his 'inspirational achievement' on April 11, 2019.
- Deepika Malik, who won Silver Medal in the FIFA 53 tournament at the Rio Olympics in 2016, will work to promote interaction between sports, cultural and people between India and New Zealand.
- The aim of this fellowship is to strengthen the relationship between India and New Zealand. Under this fellowship, Deepa will visit the New Zealand tour and meet Prime Minister Jicinda Returns. Paralympic sports organizations will tour and besides New Zealand athletes, students and media, people from the Indian community will also be there.
