Ashwin fined Rs 12 lakh

Punjab's captain Ravichandran Ashwin has been fined 12 lakhs for the over-rate against the Kings XI Punjab against the Delhi Capitals in the Feroz Shah Kotla on 20 April 2019. This is the first mistake of Punjab over the slow over-rate in IPL-12. In this match Punjab were defeated by 5 wickets.

On the slow pitch of Kotla, the Punjab batsmen could not match Delhi's spin bowlers and could score only 163/7. In reply, the Punjab bowlers failed to defend the target and Delhi won the match by making 166/5 with two balls remaining.
