Justice Asif appointed as new CJ of Pakistan

  1. Justice Asif Saeed Khosa was appointed as the new Chief Justice of Pakistan.
  2. He is the senior most judge of Pakistan’s Supreme Court.
  3. Justice Khosa will assume the charge of his office on 18 January 2019.
  4. The incumbent Chief Justice of Pakistan Saqib Nisar will be retiring from service on 17 January 2019.
