Weightlifters banned after 2012 Olympic tests

  1. The International Weightlifting Federation announced that five weightlifters have been provisionally suspended after reanalysis of their urine samples provided during the 2012 London Olympics.
  2. They include two Olympic champions, Ukrainian Oleksiy Torokhtiy, and Uzbekistan’s’ Ruslan Nurudinov.
  3. The other weightlifters are from Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Belarus.
