Tourism Ministry formulates guideline for OTAs

1. The Ministry of Tourism has formulated the guidelines for approval and reapproval of Online Travel Aggregators (OTAs) on 7 December 2018.
2. This is a voluntary scheme open to bonafide online travel aggregators to bring them on a common platform in the organised sector.
3. The guidelines will come out by 31 December 2019.
4. OTA is an intermediary or an agent, selling travel products and services.
