Thailand approves medical use of marijuana

1. On 25 December 2018, Thailand approved the licensed use of marijuana for medical use and research.
2. The changes will legalize the production, import, export, possession, and use of marijuana products for medical purposes.
3. Thailand became the first country in Southeast Asia to allow the use of medical marijuana.
4. Recreational use of the drugs remains still illegal in Thailand.
