Surat to be world’s fastest growing city

  1. According to a report by Oxford Economics, Surat will be the world’s fastest growing city in the 2019-35 period.
  2. The report further said that all the top ten fastest-growing cities in the world in 2019-35 will be from India.
  3. The other 9 cities are Agra, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Tiruppur, Rajkot, Tiruchirappalli, Chennai, and Vijayawada.
  4. The report is authored by economist Richard Holt.
