More than half of global population now online

  1. According to the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), more than half of the global population is online.
  2. It said that by the end of 2018, 51.2% of people around the world will be using the Internet.
  3. ITU found that there are currently 5.3 billion active mobile broadband subscriptions worldwide.
  4. ITU is responsible for issues that concern information & communication technologies.
