India’s first underwater museum to be opened

1. India is set to get its first underwater museum off the Puducherry coast.
2. INS Cuddalore, a minesweeper decommissioned in March 2018, will be turned into a museum.
3. The minesweeper will be deployed in the seabed 7 km off Puducherry coast.
4. The vessel will be a popular destination for scuba diving and snorkelling.
5. This will also improve marine biodiversity and the fishing industry.
