India to remain at top position in remittances

  1. According to the World Bank’s Migration and Development Brief, India will retain its position as the world’s top recipient of remittances in 2018.
  2. India received US$80 billion as remittances from its diaspora.
  3. India is followed by China (US$67 billion), Mexico and the Philippines (US$34 billion each) and Egypt (US$26 billion).
