ICG conducted exercise ‘Clean Sea 2018’

1. The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) conducted the Regional Level Marine Oil Pollution Response Exercise titled ‘Clean Sea 2018’ at Port Blair on 6 December 2018.
2. Coast Guard ships Viswasth, Vijith, Rajveer, Rajshri, and Chetak helicopters participated in the exercise.
3. The ICG is the designated authority for oil spill response in Indian waters.
4. ICG comes under the Ministry of Defence.
