Govt extends import restrictions on peas

  1. The commerce ministry extended the import restrictions on peas for another three months till 31 March 2019.
  2. Such measures help in curbing cheaper imports and boost local prices.
  3. The restrictions were imposed by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT.
  4. India is the largest producer of pulses in the world.
