- The third edition of the 12-day ‘Dwijing Festival’, a river tourism project of the Assam government, will begin from 27 December 2018 in Chirang district in Assam.
- ‘Dwijing’ means river bank and the festival will cover areas around the river Aie.
- The river Aie originates from the Himalayas of Bhutan flowing through Chirang and Bongaigaon districts before meeting the river Brahmaputra.
