Armed Forces Flag Day: 7 December

  1. Armed Forces Flag Day is observed throughout India on 7 December.
  2. The aim of the day is to honour the martyrs as well as men and women in uniform, who valiantly fight on borders to safeguard India.
  3. The ‘Armed forces Flag Day Fund’ (AFFDF) has been constituted by the Government of India for the welfare and rehabilitation of the Ex-Servicemen (ESM) community.
